We would love for you to submit videos (with commentary) and photographs of the planned spaces 5 days prior to your consultation. Feel free to include photos of other spaces that inspire you. These will help us get a feel for your space(s) and maximize our time together. These can be uploaded when booking your consultation.

Full-service interior design involves hiring an interior design firm, often requiring a significant budget, to fully design and execute your space.

Yes! Michel would be happy to connect with other designers and industry professionals to offer advice, support and guidance with regard to your own projects and professional endeavors within the industry.

You are able to cancel or reschedule your consultation up to 72 hours beforehand for a full refund. Please note, each client is allowed one cancellation or one reschedule. Any attempts to cancel/reschedule inside of the 72 hour window will be politely declined and charged in full. To cancel a consultation, email us at info@michelsmithboyd.com

We encourage you to gather a list of questions and topics you wish to cover prior to your consultation so that you can maximize your time and get all the answers you need. If you have any follow up questions or run out of time, we encourage you to book another consultation!

Here are a few suggestions to consider: - write out a list of all the questions you’d like to get answered - list out any links you’d like to share - put together a simple document / slideshow / presentation to be submitted via the intake form. This document could include photos of your space, pieces of furniture or decor you have your eye on (or already own), mood board images, swatches of materials – anything you like!

If you find that you don’t have time to get all of your questions answered, we suggest booking another consultation. Michel would be delighted to help you as often as you need!

Yes, you are allowed to have unlimited guests with you provided you are all physically together sharing the same screen.

We strongly recommend using a desktop or laptop for your consultation to seamlessly utilize all of Zoom’s features that will help optimize your consultation experience. The Zoom app will need to be installed on any device you plan to use for your consultation.

On Zoom, only the host can record the meeting by default, so you would have to ask the host to grant you permission to record the meeting. It is up to their discretion if they feel comfortable in doing so. Another option would be to record the audio of your consultation via your mobile phone, but please ask for permission beforehand.

Please ask for permission before taking any screenshots, recordings or photos of your consultation and/or posting this content to social media.

Yes! You can purchase a gift card for any value over $100 USD. The gift recipient will be able to redeem this credit for an available time slot of their choosing. Alternatively, you can book a consultation for a loved one and either send them the link to the consultation or enter their name/email address into the booking at checkout instead of your own. You can also invite them to join as your guest so you can enjoy the consultation together. Please note that the purchases of gift cards are nonrefundable.

We can guarantee that Michel has the experience required to be able to advise you on most interior design-related topics. However, we cannot guarantee that you will be satisfied with all the advice you receive, nor take responsibility for the results of any decisions you make following this advice. We therefore cannot offer refunds based on your level of satisfaction with your consultation. Having said this, we take all our post-consultation reviews and feedback very seriously.

We trust and hope that you will love your consultation, but sometimes things go wrong and we will do our best to fix it for you. Per the above answer, we are unfortunately unable to issue a refund if you are dissatisfied with the advice or the results of any decisions you make based on the content of your consultation. We can, however, offer a full refund if your consultation doesn’t take place (please email jordan@michelsmithboyd.com) or a partial refund if your consult starts more than a few minutes late. Please note, all gift card purchases are nonrefundable.

In the event your appointment is cancelled due to an emergency on our end, we will work with you to get the consultation rebooked for ASAP. If you’re unable to mutually agree on a new time, we can offer a full refund. We greatly value all of our clients’ time!
