Michel Smith Boyd is an American interior designer and star of HGTV hit shows, Luxe for Less, Rock The Block 4, Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge, and 100 Days Hotel Challenge (coming August 2024). He has received countless accolades including being recognized as one of the Top 10 African American Designers in the country and tapped as one of “Atlanta’s Top 50 Most Powerful People”, as well as Veranda’s “Next Legend.” Additionally, Michel’s work has graced the pages of the Wall Street Journal, Elle Decor, Traditional Home, Vogue, Veranda, Ebony, and Washington Post just to name a few.

His Atlanta based firm, Michel Smith Boyd, LLC, is known for Michel’s signature, sumptuous style. Renowned for its distinctive, cultivated, and soulful vibe, in 2022 Boyd’s work was featured in MODISH, The Book of Great Design for Benton Buckley Books. Boyd prides himself on creating spaces that his clients not only adore but also delight in calling home. Michel’s aesthetic is filtered through the lens of an effortlessly chic Parisian lifestyle, unapologetically bold African movement and couture textiles...but his passion as an interior designer is exploring/expanding the definition of, and how each of us experiences luxury.

Michel’s breadth of influence includes residential and commercial interior design as well as bespoke collections of luxe rugs, artisan case-goods, bold lustrous paintings, and a new collection of fragrances curated for home. His signature style masterfully juxtaposes masculine and feminine sophistication and he seamlessly blends it all under one roof to set the perfect mode.

Newest to Michel’s emerging brand is his own MSB Bespoke Rug Collection, MSB X Crate&Barrel, and MSB How To Luxury e-commerce.
